went to a folk concert at the museum of contemporary art the other day. it had been years since my last visit. going to the museum brings along those elements of total creativity and inspiration. emily lacy is a folk/country/filmmaker/everything else. her concert was held in the puck cafe there and it was really nice. if you're into folk music, you'd probably enjoy it & if not, that's ok...she has something for everyone. by the way, the museum is free admission every tuesday. so if you're in the chicago area, visit.

spring at zara

dear zara, you shouldn't have had any of these temptations at your store today. thankfully, i practiced total self control and walked out without any evidence that i had even been in there. however, i can't stop thinking about all the lovely pieces of clothing and shoes i have seen- particularly the ones pictured above. oh please help me continue to have self control to not return to the zara store again this week. o my. i feel myself giving in. stay tuned..

look what green can do

green is a beautiful color. i have owned a pair of green slacks, a few sweaters, throws, and green nail polish. i, however, have recently been inspired by green interiors. someone i know is revamping their home and green is the color of choice for one of the rooms. this has prompted me to search the net for green inspiration. so here's what i've found:

Stunning. Isn't her use of colors just amaze. The long maxi dresses with the wide brim fedoras, the emerald green and cranberry satins placed with a dab of neutral colors, the leopard prints, and those grey tights paired with open toe shoes...I want the entire collection as if you couldn't tell.
